SIAMESE SURAWONG
The project is a high density 19 story condominium in a historic area in downtown Bangkok.
In response to the high density program, the design approach envisages a highly technical and efficient approach to the residential and unit planning.
The individual units will emphasize efficiency and will offer unique features that will give a livable character to the units and to the total building.
In keeping with the concept that all new structures should be relevant to their existing neighborhoods, this project will give a definite reference to the historical aspect of the area. Some units will be given circular windows to emphasize the uniqueness of the architecture and traditional moon windows used in traditional domestic architecture. These windows will focus on the variety of views offered because of the location near the river and will help give the building it's identity.
The building is configured with many types of individual units. This planning has been allied to reflect itself in the asymmetrical form of the final building shape rather than force the units into a preconceived building form.
Location: Sub Road, Bang Rak, Bangkok, Thailand
